Today’s podcast was a complete surprise, as my neighbors told me they were already on this walk! It sounded like such a great cause, I felt bad I hadn’t heard anything about it. The more texts I received about it, I decided to charge some gear and get up to Bonneville Point to meet them at the end of their 15 mile journey, most of the last 8 miles were uphill on a sunny day!

Why does this kind of activism go unnoticed? Why are so many people complying in advance? What can you do to help this grassroots project? Everything you need to know is right HERE. If you’re between here and Twin Falls, you can join part of the walk in the next week or two? Susan will be taking over that stretch, so Emily can get some rest and rotate back in. Want to help, but can’t do the walk? Show up and bring them water and inspiration! Provide some shelter or rest along the way. If not, the easiest was to help is to DONATE.
They’re only 459 miles into their journey, it’s not too late to help. This is a great way to find community and support, building small teams from city to city. Keep updated on the amazing journey started by Emily Waugh and her mother on the FACEBOOK page. 3028 miles to go, and there are so many ways you can help! Plus, hiking is fun!
